Abstract
The effect of stearate thermal stabilizer on the thermal stability of chlorinated rubber from latex was investigated with various analytical methods. The results showed that the effects of different stearates on improving the discolouration of chlorinated rubber from latex in hot air aging were as follows:lead stearate calcium stearatebarium stearatecadmium stearatezinc stearate;in certain range, the discolouration decreased as the addition level of stearate increased;and the effects of different stearates on controlling the generation of hydrogen chlorinated were as follows:lead stearate/cadmium stearate/barium stearate (1∶0 5∶1 5) systemcadmium stearate/barium stearate (1∶3) systemlead stearate/zinc stearate/calcium stearate (1∶0 4∶1 6) systemzinc stearate/calcium stearate (1∶4) system.
