Abstract
Effect of enhanced-solid-solution treatment on hardness, electrical conductivity, intergranular corrosion and exfoliation corrosion properties of Sr and Sc microalloyed 7085 aluminum alloy(Al-8.34Zn-1.89Mg-1.83Cu-0.15Zr-0.060Sr-0.10Sc) were investigated by means of hardness and electrical conductivity test, intergranular corrosion and exfoliation corrosion test, and optical microscope observation. The results show that compare with the conventional solid-solution treatment(470 ℃×2 h),the enhanced-solid-solution treatment(470 ℃×2 h+480 ℃×2h+490 ℃×2 h) promotes greatly the dissolution of coarse second phase and improves equi-axis degree of grains. After enhanced-solid-solution and conventional T6(121 ℃×24 h) treatment, the alloy exhibites a higher hardness,a slightly lower electrical conductivity, and a considerable improvement of intergranular corrosion resistance and exfoliation corrosion resistance.
