Abstract
The effects of enhanced-solid-solution treatment on intergranular corrosion and exfoliation corrosion properties of 7075 Al alloy were investigated. The results show that compared with the conventional solid-solution(470 ℃ × 2 h) plus T6 treatment, the enhanced solid-solution(470 ℃ × 2 h + 480 ℃ × 2 h + 490 ℃ × 2 h) plus T6 treatment advances the dissolution of coarse second phase, and accelerates kinetics of ageing. The intergranular corrosion resistance advances from third to second grade. The corrosion resistance improves from EC into EA grade.
