Abstract
Active Power Filter is an important device to eliminate the pollution of harmonics and with the development of power electronics, this device becomes more popular. A new algorithm for random harmonic current detection of active power filter based on instantaneous reactive power theory is presented in this paper. This algorithm can overcome the infection of the digital controller's delay time to harmonic compensation and realize the real time compensation. Analyses and simulation prove the correctness of the algorithm.
