Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical effecf of Defibrin(DF-521) in treatment of senile acute progressive cerebral infarction. Methods Thirty-nine cases of acute progressive cerebral infarction were treated with Defibin and the plasma fibrinogen .clinical effect were observed and compared with the other 32 cases treated with low molecular dextran. Results Defibrin employed in treatment of senile acute progressive cerebral infarction could stop rapidly the progression of the symptomsdue to local cerebral ischemia and improve the neurological function, lower the level of plasma fibrinogen and death rate, which were superior to low molecular dextran significantly. The hemorrhagic incidence were not increased. Conclusion Defibrin is a rapid, effective and safe medicine to treat senile acute progressive cerebral infarction.
