Abstract
This article analyses the differences and similarities of the female images portrayed in both Book of Songs and Poetry of the South and therefore sees segment of a whole of the aesthetic tastes in southern and northern culture.It compares natural beauty with decorated beauty,dynamic beauty with static beauty,bright beauty with dejected beauty,simple beauty with sophisticated beauty,then analyses their differences and reasons.The article expounds the theme from culturology,poetics and aesthetics.
