Abstract

With the rapid development of Internet, traditional router becomes the bottle-neck of it. This paper introduces the architecture of the next-generation IP routers: parallel routers, and then analyzes it's optimal allocation. Also, this paper presents two kinds of technology being applied in Internet: the Gigabit router and the IP switching.
