Abstract
Objective:To explor the role of breviscapine (Bre) on dynamic changes of lipid peroxidation in hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury(HIRI).Methods:The HIRI model was used.Thirty-two rabbits were randomly divided into control group((n=8)),model group(n=8),Bre(5mg) group(n=8) and Bre(7mg) group(n=8).The superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity, malondialdehyde(MDA) content, glutathione peroxidase(GSHPX) and alanine aminotransferase(ALT) activity in serum were observed before ischemia and at ischemia 45 min, reperfusion 30min,reperfusion 60 min. Results:The SOD activity,GSH-PX activity MDA,content and ALT activity of Bre group,as compared with model group, showed significant differences((P0.05) or P0.01) at total time points of reperfusion. Conclusion:Bre has notable anti-lipid peroxidation effect on HIRI,which is due to its inhibiting the generation of oxygen free radicals and its strengthening scavenging of oxygen free radicals.
