The New Vision and Interpretation of Sinology

Sinology in ancient China referred to the country's educational administrative faculties and high educational institutions,with its teaching courses mainly based on Wujing and Sishu.Annotated by the descending scholars of generations,these classical editions have not only maintained the national cultural artery for nearly five thousand years,but also made it stronger.Modern sinology is not the rupture of the traditional,but the adoption and development in academic spirits.In the beginning of the 20th century,regarding the severe domestic and foreign troubles,learned intellectuals in China started to advocate sinology,with the aim to guarantee the nation and the race,and to redeem the country and survive.Sinology was therefore perceived as the theoretic source of country's building to compete with Western learning.And these actions towards sinology gained nationwide attention and preoccupation.In present world,although sinology has suffered repeated hardships,a blissful scene out of the bottom valley of misfortune has already presented.Under these newly historical conditions,the teaching and research of sinology needs a new vision of globalization,a new thinking of Harmony and Cooperation(He-he),a new idea of alteration,a new value of Multiplying and a new method of modernization.Only by these ways can we make a new interpretation of sinology.
