Evaluation of the Competitiveness of the Cities along the Yangtze River in Anhui Province——with the Discussion on the Comparison with that of Jiangsu Province

In the era of economic globalization and regional integration,the competition between cities is advanced,urban competitiveness is important to the development of cities.Evaluation and comparison of the urban competitiveness is an effective method to find the advantages and disadvantages of cities,and it is the premise to promote the urban competitiveness accordingly.The belt along the Yangtze River is an important economic belt in Anhui Province,also is important to the Yangtze River economic belt in China.The paper constructs an evaluation index system of urban competitiveness on the basis of its concept and the research fruits of formers.Using the method of factor analysis,the urban competitiveness of sixteen cities of the Belt along the Yangtze river in Anhui and Jiangsu province are evaluated quantantively.Based on the comparative analysis of the urban competitiveness among of these cities,the paper puts forward some countermeasures to advance the urban competitiveness of the belt along the Yangtze River in Anhui Province.
