Fang Dongmei's Interpretation and Expounding of Ancient Chinese Philosophers' Ideal Political Belief

Based on vastness and harmony, Fang Dongmei disclosed the ideal theological and political world in ancient China. He regarded Confucianism, Taoism and Mohism as the thought of rule by virtue, and explained the basis of this thought from the angle of life philosophy. He also traced and expounded its process of formation. He held that according to the Confucianism-based theology that governs the life of the Chinese, political thought and moral spirit are combined as one, the form of political life being that of moral life. Political life aims at carrying out the spirit of the infinite and harmonious life.
