Reflections on science and technology——the image of science and technology in foreign ecological pre-warning literary works and its ecological consciousness

This thesis analyses the image of science and technology and its ecological consciousness in the foreign ecological pre-warning literary works from the perspective of ecocriticism,arguing that the writers forecast and present the various ecological disasters in the real life in a symbolic way and that human beings should guide the development of science and technology with reason and wisdom,substitute the concept of the paramountcy of science and technology for the green ecological concept of science and technology and replace the anthropocentrism with the development concept of ecological totalness.The writers' close attention to the potential dangers science and technologies may result in embodies their deep concern about the predicament of human beings and helps to awaken human beings' ecological consciousness and warn them of the necessity to protect the environment.
