Abstract
Hyphae form, compatibility of strains and esterase isozyme zymogram polymorphisms of 25 strains in Auricularia auricula were studied. The results showed that 25 tested strains were divided into 6 hyphae form types. The compatibility of strains showed that six strains were of self-incompatibility with other strains and the same geographical strains exist obvious compatibility among them. Esterase isozyme results showed that there was diversity among coarse muer strains, 25 zymogram bands were observed and there were 8 zymogram types in all tested strains. Each strain had 8~12 bands respectively. Differences of strains were expressed in their respective characteristic zymograms in the study. The results of cluster analysis at 80% similarity level showed that all strains tested could be clusterd into 6 groups, i.e. the first group including 14 strains of hei 29 etc., the second group including 5 strains of 8808 etc., the third and the forth group including 2 strains, the fifth and the sixth group including only one strain. The analytical technique of esterase isozyme was an available method for identifying strains in species and under species.
