Abstract

Objective To evaluate the effect of the Nefopam Hydrochloride in patient control analgesia. Methods One hundred gynecologic patients were divided randomly into two groups:Fentanyl group(n=50)and Nefopam group(n=50).To observe the visual analog score(VAS)and side-effects in patients of the two groups at 4,8,12,24,48 hours after operation.Result There were no significant differences in VAS between the two groups. The side effect rate in Fentanly group was more often than that in Nefopam group. Conclusion The analgesic potency of Nefopam seems to be similar to Fentanly, but the side effect in Nefopam group is considerably lower than that in Fentanly group.
