Abstract
[Objective] The aim was to study the effects of different concentrations of NaCl treatment on the organs of Spinacia oleracea seedlings.[Method] The Spinacia oleracea seedlings were treated respectively with 0,10,and 50 mmol/L NaCl solution, and then the fresh weight, dry weight, antioxidase activity, soluble protein and MDA content of their root, stem and leaves under each treatment were detected.[Result] The root of Spinacia oleracea seedlings treated by 10 mmol/L NaCl solution differed largely from the control group, its moisture content decreased,MDA content increased significantly, protective enzyme activity and soluble protein content reduced;while the leaves of Spinacia oleracea seedlings treated by 10 mmol/L NaCl solution saw a slight decrease in their moisture content, protective enzyme activity and soluble protein content, large change as that of root could only be seen under high NaCl concentration(50 mmol/L);NaCl solution within certain range of concentration had no big influence on the stem of Spinacia oleracea seedlings.[Conclusion] The sensitivities of the different organs of Spinacia oleracea seedlings to NaCl concentrations were different. The roots were the most sensitive and the leaves were the second, while the physiological characteristics of stems showed a slight decrease only under high salt concentration.
