Influences of angina pectoris on coronary collateral circulation and prognosis in patients with coronary heart disease

Objective:To investigate the influences of angina pectoris on coronary collateral circulation and prognosis in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD).Methods:236CHD cases underwent selective coronary angiography.The relation of previous angina pectoris to coronary collateral circulation and left ventricular function were analyzed and prognoses of the cases were followed-up for12～48months.Results:In the236cases,there were168(71.2%)with previous angina pectoris(group A)and68(28.8%)without(group B).(1)There were no significant difference in unstable angina pectoris and myocardial infarction between group A and B;(2)Good collateral circulation was more likely to be presented in group A than that in group B(P0.01).(3)The left ventricular ejection fraction was significantly increased in group A than that in group B(P0.05).(4)All the patients were followed-up for12～48months,mortality of group A was lower than that in group B(P0.05).Conclusion:In CHD petients,precious angina pectoris may have beneficial effects on coronary collateral circulation and left ventricular function and decrease the mortality but may have on beneficial effects on decreasing unstable angina pectoris and myocardial infarction.
