Abstract
The simultaneous determination of benzoylperoxide and benzoic acid in flour by ultraviolet spectrophotometry was established.Anhydrous alcohol solution was chosen as blanks, benzoylperoxide and benzoic acid were determined at 233 nm and 226 nm in the sample solution.Due to the mutual effect between the two components, linear equation groups were set up to eliminate the mutual interference of the determined components. The linear range of benzoylperoxide was 8.26×10-6 to 4.95×10-6 mol/L and the linear range of benzoic acid was 1.64×10-5 to 9.84×10-5 mol/L.The method is simple and rapid, and without separation, the simultaneous determination of vitamin C and benzoic acid in make up water with satisfactory results.
