Abstract
As a successful system, Pichia pastoris has expressed many kinds of heterologous proteins. The increasing popularity of this particular expression system can be attributed to several factors, most importantly: (1) the simplicity to grow quickly; (2) the capability of performing eukaryotic glycosylation, disulfide bond formation and proteolytic processing; (3) the ability to produce foreign proteins at high levels. The optimization of vector, integration, the gene structure and so on, will lead to better expression in Pichia pastoris.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
