Abstract
ObjectiveTo observe the acute toxicity of Chijing capsule(CJC) mice and the long-period toxicity in rats,respectively.MethodsLD50 of CJC was tested in mice by Bliss methods.Rats were administered intragastrically CJC for 180 days and the body weight, hematological and hematobiochemical parameters were observed, coefficient and histomorphological figure of organs were examined in 180 days and 30 days after the cessation of CJC.ResultsThe LD50 of KM mice was 294.23g/kg.In the long-period toxicity test,CJC administered repeatedly for 180 days, the dose were 5.0,10.0,20.0 g/kg respectively(It refered to the dose of material, which amounted to 13.3,26.7,53.3 times of 60kg human clinic use). There was no other abnormal change about color patem, action, urine and stool, but cibation, hydroposia, body weight and index part of hematobiochemical parameters, coefficient and histomorphological figure of organs changed abnormaly during administration phase. The rats were examined in 30 days after the cessation of CJC,the abnormal changes of index was completely recovered. After administered repeatedly for 180 days and in 30 days after stopping the drug, the pathological examination of important organs did not detect obvious changes, except lung and kidney infection was found in seven dead rats of the high dose of CJC group in administration phase.ConclusionCJC administration by long-period large doses can slightly damage rats, but the damage can be completely recovered after drug withdrawal.
