Oasis Agriculture Characters and Development in Arid Area of Northewestern China

Abstract

The oasis agriculture appears the special characters due to the eco - environment characters of arid area of northwest region. In this paper, the typical terrestrial oasis - Heihe oasis was compared with the Manas oasis,and the results showed that the two oasis appeared same in many aspects. From the above results,it is proposed that for the development of oasis agriculture,following things should be amsidered; 1)developing peculiar oasis agriculture ;2)optimizing the resources allocation;3)adjusting the agriculture structure;4)setting up the agriculture technology system;5)constructing the eco -agriculture.
