Abstract
Transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1) plays a great role in the process of liver fibrosis. Smad protein family are important molecules in TGF-β signaling. Among them,Smad7 can block liver fibrosis mediated by TGF-β through inhibiting TGF-β signal transduction pathway and mediating intracellular negative feedback. This review will briefly introduce the mechanisms of Smad7 inhibiting liver fibrosis.
