A Commentary on Chen Du-xiu’s Education Policy Thoughts

Abstract

Chen Du-xiu’s education policy thoughts have two main aspects. Early, he held high the banner of opposing the doctrine of back to the ancients, advocating its education policy thoughts. Later, he propagated the Marxism education policy thoughts. His early education policy thoughts provided a theoretical preparation for the May 4th New Cultural Movement. His Marxism education policy thoughts provided a theoretical basis for the development of the Communist Party of China’s early education. Chen Du-xiu’s education policy thoughts had a great influence and historical value on the formulation and implementation of our new democratic and socialism education policy.
