Rapid Preparation of Ordered Anodic Aluminum Oxide Template for the Fabrication of Co Nanowire Arrays

Abstract

Ordered AAO templates are fabricated with a two-step constant-voltage anodization approach by the homemade oxidation tank.2-4 templates could be fabricated each time by this device,and the fabrication steps are simplified.As a result,the fabrication efficiency is improved greatly by these means.Using the AAO template,Co nanowire arrays were fabricated by DC electrodeposition and were characterized by SEM,TEM,EDS.The Co nanowire arrays are parallel to each other,uniform in thickness,with diameters of 50 nm,lengths of 20-30 μm,and aspect ratios of 300-1 000.These parameters are in accordance with those of the AAO template.
