Abstract

The identities of translators’ have always been ignored in the study of translation theory.A cultural change of translation study in Western countries in the late 20th century has brought a new perspective and methodology to the study of translation study.This paper takes an overview of translators’ identities in history so as to discuss the changes of translators’ identities and subjectivity in the development of translation theories.
