Improvement of New Type of Rural Cooperative Medical Care System

Problems still exist in the proceeding of the new type of rural cooperative medical care system in China.For example,farmers’ involvement remains insufficient and the management system is imperfect.The new system also faces with high financing costs as well as unreasonable compensation standards and limited compensation ability.Supervision of medical care is particularly difficult due to the impeded legislation,unqualified policy and inappropriate talent system.In the future,the standardization and improvement of new type of rural cooperative medical care system can be carried out in the following aspects: improving the structure and ability of the management organs;setting up a long-term mechanism to expand financing channels;building up an integrated medical security and management mechanism in both urban and rural areas;the managing efficiency of the new type of rural cooperative medical care;ensuring the stability of related policies through prompt legislation;strengthening the building of human resources with particular emphasis on personnel training in health care stations of villages and towns,etc.
