Determination of the contents of berberine hydrochloride and baicalin in Wanshi Niuhuang Qingxin Pellets by HPLC

Objective To determine the contents of berberine hydrochloride and baicalin in Wanshi Niuhuang Qingxin Pellets.Method A high-performance liquid chromatographic method was developed for the determination.A Shim-Pack CLC-ODS C 18 column( 150 mm× 6 mm, 5 μm)was used,with the mobile phase of acetonitrile:KH 2PO 4(V∶V= 3∶7),at the detection wavelength of 280 nm.Result The linear range of berberine hydrochloride was 6 04～ 48 32 mg·L -1(r= 0 999 8);the mean recovery was 102 0%(n=9),RSD=1 73%;The linear range of baicalin was 11 88～ 71 28 mg·L -1(r= 0 999 7);the mean recovery was 99 4%(n=9),RSD=2 34%.Conclusion The method can be used in the quality control of Wanshi Niuhuang Qingxin Pellets.
