Abstract

Objective: To determine the contents of 14 metal elements: K, Mg, Ca, Cu, Zn, Fe, Mn, Ni, Co, Pb, Cr, Cd, Ag and Au in planted Isatis indigotica Fort. by flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry ( FAAS). Methods: The planted Isatis indigotica Fort. was digested with HNO3-HClO4(4 : 1) at 90-95 C and normal pressure. The contents of 14 metal elements were determined by FAAS method. The optimal working conditions of FAAS were studied. Results: The contents of K, Mg, Ca, Fe, Zn, Cu, Mn, Pb and Ag were 10 468. 5,450.6,580. 8,315. 1,20. 6,3. 7,16. 5,3. 3 and 0. 2 μg/g, respectively and Co, Ni, Cr, Cd, Au were not detected in the samples. The recovery rates of the samples added were 95. 28%-104. 50%, with relative standard deviation (n = 9) being 0. 2%-5. 0%. Conclusion: The characteristics of this method are quick, simple and convenient.
