Abstract

Objective:To observe the curative effect of the combination of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine on the treatment of the patients with gouty arthritis. Methods:120 cases of patients with gouty arthritis were randomly divided into treatment group (60 cases) and the control group (60 cases). The control group used Naproxen Capsules and Allopurinol treatment, the treatment group plused Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment based on the control group. The curative effect of two group were determined in 2 months after treatment. Results:The effective rate of treatment group (90.0%) was significantly higher than that of control group (75.0%) (χ2=3.987,P0.05). The joint pain score and tender points in two groups after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment (P0.05 and P0.01); the contents of serum uric acid (BUA) and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) in the two groups after treatment were significantly lower than before treatment (all P0.05),the contents of TC and TG in the treatment group after treatment were significantly lower than that before treatment (all P0.05); The contents of TG in the treatment group were lower than the control group (P0.05). Conclusion:The combination of Chinese and Western Medicine has a clear advantage and clinical application value in patients with gouty arthritis.
