Abstract
Objetives To investigate the influen ce of somatostatin in liver regeneration and function. Methods The rat were randomly devided into control group(n=30)and trial group,The somatostatin and saline were injected after partial hepatectomy, once an hour a nd lasting 24 hours, The concentration of serum insulin and gastrin were analyse d .The liver weight ,GPT and total bilirubin were detected. Result The somatostatin group has lower regeneration and lighter liver damage than control group. Conclusion Somatostatin may restrain l iver regeneration and prevent liver damage.
