Abstract

The paper is going to investigate the effects of oxymatrine( OMT) on immuno-hepatic fibrosis of rats induced by porcine-serum( PS). The porcine-serum-induced hepatic fibrosis model is adopted and hepatic pathology is used to detect the sirus red stain to observe the fibrosis degree. ELISA tests the content of TGF-beta1 and IL-10 in serum. The results show that OMT can decrease the collagen deposition in the liver of model rats, and the hydroxyproline( HYP) in liver dwindles obviously( P 0. 05) compared with the model set. Then, compared with the model set,the content of serum ALT and TGF-beta1 of the treatment group decreases evidently( P 0. 05) while the content of IL-10 increases obviously( P 0. 05). Finally,a conclusion is drawn that the OMT can decrease the hepatic fibrosis degree of the model rats, and can also well protect the porcine-serum-induced hepatic fibrosis rats. The influence on IL-10 expression might be one of OMT's functions.
