Abstract

[Objective]To discuss the significance of serum VEGF and MMP-9 dynamic changes in patients with acute cerebral infarction.[Methods]From February 2010 to February 2011,the levels of VEGF and MMP-9 in 121 cases of acute cerebral infarction patients and 60 cases of healthy controls were detected by ELISA method.[Results]The levels of serum VEGF and MMP-9 in 1d,3d,7d and 14d in acute cerebral infarction group were significantly higher than those in control group(P﹤0.05).The levels of serum VEGF were significantly increased in 1d,reached peak in 7d and remain high level in 14d.The levels of serum MMP-9 were significantly increased in 1d,reached peak in 3d and decreased gradually,but remain high level in 14d.With the increment of infarction area,the levels of serum VEGF and MMP-9 were gradually increased(P﹤0.05).The levels of VEGF were positively corrected with the levels of MMP-9(r = 0.312,P﹤0.05).[Conclusion]The levels of serum VEGF and MMP-9 were dynamic changed in acute cerebral infarction patients,showed a positive relationship,and were increased with the increment of infarction area,which were useful for the diagnosis and evaluation of disease prognosis.
