Clinical reasons of fertilization failure undergoing in vitro fertilization and embryo transplantation

To explore the clinical reasons and rescue method of total fertilization failure in vitro fertilization and embryo transplantation(IVE-ET).Methods: Total 784 cycles undergoing IVF-ET from February 2009 to October 2010 were included in this study.They were divided into fertilization failure group consisted of 62 cases and fertilization normal group consisted of 722 cases according to fertilization rate.The femal age,cause of infertility,duration of infertility,oocyte retrieval,rate of mature oocytes and between the two groups were compared.Results: There was no difference between the duration of infertility,oocyte retrieval,rate of mature oocytes.The fertilization failure was found higher in primary infertility patients.The fertilization failure was higher in primary infertility,unexplained infertility patients and other cause infertility accompany by moderate male factor.Conclusion: Fertilzation failure may be occurred in eld female,primary infertility,the unexplained infertility patients and other cause accompany by sperm factor.We can carry out rescue intracytoplasmic sperm injection(ICSI)through early prediction.
