Abstract
Environment-friendly organic solvent N-Methylmorpholine-N-oxide (NMMO) was used as the ramie fiber swelling solvent. Through padding and curing pretreatment, ramie fabric was modified by NMMO. The optimum pretreatment condition of the ramie fabric and dyeing property of pretreated ramie fabric were investigated. The results showed that the K/S value of the modified ramie fabric was one time higher than that of the normal ramie fabric and the color fastness is close to non-treated one's after the pretreatment of dipping 15 minutes in 40% NMMO solution, curing 2 minutes at 160℃.
