Abstract

With the fact that various new broadband services spring up and develop,the introduction of DWDM(Dense wavelength division multiplexing) into Metropolitan Area Network has already become an irresistible trend.From the status quo of DWDM technology,this paper discusses in detail the technical principle and key technologies of DWDM,including its applications in Metropolitan Area Network,then stresses the introduction of Alcatel product 1696MSPAN,and describes the design mode of MAN by using it.
