The Approach Of DWDM And The Future Integrated Services Networks

Abstract

This article provides and analysis of the DWDM network and its current technologies. A discussion on DWDM applications and the system requirements,as well as the roles of current network architectures, such as the SONET, ATM and TCP/IP, in the DWDM framework is presented after the analysis. An analysis of system requirements for the full optical DWDM integrated services network is then provided.
