Based on the Triple Therapy for Eradication of Helicobacter Pylori Infection

Objective: To investigate the efficacy of one week combined lansoprazole,gatifloxacin and metronidazole in eradication of Helicobacter pylori.Method: Ninty patients with H.pylori-infected peptic ulcer were randomly divided into two groups.Treatment group received lansoprazole 30mg,one time a day and gatifloxacin 200mg,metronidazole 400mg twice a day.Control group received lansoprazole 30mg,one time a day and clarithromycin 500mg,metronidazole 400mg twice a day.After 1 week,both groups received lansoprazole 30mg for 3 weeks.All patients were observed by endoscopy in four weeks after treatment.Result: The eradication rates of H.pylori in group A and group B were 93.3%and 88.9% respectively;the cure rates were 95.6% and 93.3% respectively.There were no significant differences in the eradication rate of H.pylori and cure rate between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion: Triple therapy using combined Lansoprazole,gatifloxacin and metronidazole is effective and without side-effects in eradiaxtion of Helicobacter pylori infection and treatment of patients with peptic ulcer.
