Abstract

The blackberry cultivar Boysen was chosen to study the growth and development regularity of blackberry fruit and to provide scientific basis of blackberry cultivation and utilization. The fruits were marked randomly and sampled at regular intervals, and fruit weight and main nutritional components were determined during fruit development period. The change of cumulants of fruit weight, titratable acid, vitamin C and vitamin E were shown as single S curve, while those of accumulation rates were shown as double S curve. The change of cumulants and accumulation rates of reducing sugar, total sugar and total anthocyanin were all shown as single S curve.According to the statistical analysis, the cumulants of fruit weight and main nutritional components in the last ten days accounted for over 50% of the total cumulants. It indicated the accumulation of fruit weight and nutritional components mostly happened during late development period.
