Abstract
Reading is a main source of language input,and a basis to improve students' comprehensive English ability.While the present college English teaching failed to improve students' reading ability.By transforming the teachers' role and the students' way of study,strengthening the training of the reading skills and improving the teaching methods and content the college English teaching situation and the students' reading ability can be improved.
