Abstract
Objective To investigate the demands of community health services for the elderly.Methods 516 people who were 60 or over 60 years old were investigated in their homes.Results 75.4% of respondents used to go to the third-level hospitals for medical service,only 3.5% of them choose community health service;38.3% thought they did not need any community health services.The main influencing factors were age,occupation,average income per person in family,the form of payment for medical treatment.Conclusions It's necessary to increase the awareness of community health service,to enhance knowledge and acceptance of community health service among the elderly,and to establish an effective system of medical insurance and endowment for the elderly.
