Abstract

The process of potassium permanganate-powder activated carbon can remove organic matter, turbidity and chromaticity in the micro pollution water source effectively. This paper changed traditional process which used the coagulant of polymerization aluminum chloride procedure and selected aluminium sulfate as coagulant. In order to make sure the factors which influence the processing effect and to obtain the best experimental conditions,NH4+-N and turbidity were investigated in the experiments. The results indicate that,(1) the effect of potassium permanganate-powder activated carbon and the order of the reagent added have the close relation;(2) the process of potassium permanganate-powder activated carbon can obviously improve the water quality and the effect is better than the independent employment of powder activated carbon.
