Abstract
Objective To investigate the changes of serum hyaluronic acid in liver injury rats of obstructive jaundice and its significance. Methods Sixty male Wistar rats were randomly divided into obstructive jaundice group(n=30) and sham operation group(n=30).Each group was divided into 5 subgroups according to the different days after operation.Tissues and blood samples were collected at days 1,3,7,14,21 after operation. Then level of serum hyaluronic acid was examined using radioimmunity assay. The liver function and level of myeloperoxidase in hepatic tissue were measured by colormetric assay. The accumulation of neutrophil cells and pathological changes were observed under microscopy after HE dye. Results ①Serum alanine aminotransferase(ALT),total bilirubin(TBIL),hyaluronic acid(HA) levels were all significantly higher in obstructive jaundice group than those in sham operation group at the same time point(P0.05).②The accumulation of neutrophil cells in liver tissues in obstructive jaundice group was significant higher than those in sham operation group at the same time point. The change of serum hyaluronic acid was positively correlated with the changes of myeloperoxidase(MPO) in hepatic tissue and accumulation degree of neutrophil cells in obstructive jaundice groups after 3 days of operation(rMPO=0.469,P0.01;rneutrophil=0.398,P0.05,respectively). Conclusion The increase of serum hyaluronic acid in obstructive jaundice may be associated with the injury of sinusoidal endothelial cells caused by accumulation of neutrophil cells in the liver.
