The Potential Impact of Basic Medical Service Items Adjustment on Income of Community Health Centers

The paper analyzed the potential impact of basic medical service items adjustment on income of community health centers based on the data of medical service items and charges from community health centers in Jinshan District, Shanghai. The result showed that the income and operation of community health centers would be influenced by medical service items adjustment, and varied from center to center. Average speaking, the income of a center would decrease 1 026.6 thousand Yuan, occupied 11.00 percent of total income same year. Some stretagies and suggestions for implementation are raised.
