Abstract
Objective To observe the effects of probing of lacrimal passage combined with left-line operation on neonatal dacryocystitis. Methods 20 cases (20 eyes) with dacryocystitis which were invalid by repeatedly washing lacrimal duct were treated by lacrimal passage combined with left-line operation, the line was removed after 15 days, lacrimal duct was washed every three days during the period of left-line time, and tobramycin eye diyanye was given 3 times/d with consecutive 15 days. Follow-up time was 3 to 6 months. Results All cases were cured with the cure rate of 100%,and no recurrence happened. Conclusions Probing of lacrimal passage combined with left-line operation are the effective methods of treating the neonatal dacryocystitis, which are worthy of clinical promotion and application.
