Investigation on HBV Infection among University Freshmen from 2006 to 2008 in Yulin College

[Objective]To understand the status of HBV infection among freshmen of Yulin college,provide scientific basis for HBV prevention and control among university students.[Methods]There were 9 862 college freshmen from 2006 to 2008,examination of liver function and HBsAg for all the targeted students were conducted,two pairs of semi-hepatitis B test was conducted for HBsAg positive students with enzyme linked immunosorbent(ELISA).[Results]667 of them were positive for HBsAg,accounting for 6.67%.The positive rate was 7.98% and 4.57% in male and female students.There was a difference(P0.01).Most of the infection model was positive for HBsAg,HBeAg and Anti-HBc as well as HBsAg Anti-HBe and Anti-HBc.There was a difference of the positive rate among male and female(P0.01).96 of them had increased ALT,there was a difference among male and female students(P0.01).[Conclusion]In order to prevent and control HBV infection among college students,HBV and ALT test must be strengthened in college freshmen,comprehensive prevention method of immunization must be taken.
