Abstract

Objective:To observe the curative effect and safety of treating RA (Syndrome of damp and heat obstruction) by internal and external Chinese Medicine.Methods:45 patients were randomly assigned to two groups:the treatment group(internal and external Chinese Medicine) and the control group(by oral Chinese medicine of nourishing yin and clearing away heat, resolving dampness and dredging collaterals). Results:The curative effect of the treatment group was superior to that of the control group with a statistical significance. The total effective rates and the excellent rates in the treatment group were 91.3% and 73.9%,respectively in the control group were 77.3%and 36.4%. Espectively, and the excellent Statistical results indicated that the treatment group remarkably lowered the symptom-marks of RA and alleviated the discomforts caused by RA and did not show unhealthy reactions. Conclusion:The clinical effect with treating RA by internal and external Chinese Medicine is good and with higher safety.
