The Resource of Pteridophytes in Kunming Xishan,Yunnan

Abstract Kunmung Xishan is located in the central part of Yunnan Plateau, between 102°37′and 102°38′ E.,and between 24°57′～24°59′N..It covers an area of about 16?km 2 .,altitude is from 1?890?m . to 2358.3 m. above sea level.According to taxonomic researching of founder,investigating of field and referring to specimens of pteridophytes in PYU.Up till now,31 families,64 genera and 133 species (include varieties and forms) of pteridophytes have been recorded from this area, such as 1 species was rare and endangered pteridophytes of national key preserving. On the basic use of the pteridophytes,the pteridophytes can be classified into 5 types: medicinal pteridophytic resources, ornamental pteridophytes, edible pteridophytic resources, indicator pteridophytic resources, forage and green manure pteridophytic resources etc. In the end, the actuality and foreground of exploitation and utilization in these pteridophytes also were discussed.The checklist of Pteridophytes is from Kunming Xishan, Yunnan.
