Analysis and Suggestion of 4 560 Outpatient Prescriptions in Our Hospital

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the quality of outpatient prescription writing and rational drug use in our hospital,and to promote rational drug use in the clinic.METHODS:According to Prescription Management Method and Management Regulation for Hospital Prescription Comments(trial),4 560 outpatient prescriptions were randomly selected from our hospital during Jan.-May 2011.Basic index and unqualified prescriptions(writing quality and irrational drug use)were classified and analyzed using Excel software to put forwards suggestions.RESULTS CONCLUSIONS:4.1 kinds of drugs were used in our hospital averagely,59.2% were antibiotics.Irrational prescription accounted for 8.52%,among which 3.11% were unqualified writing,5.41% were irrational drug use,manifesting as unclear indication,unreasonable usage and dosage,unsuitable route of administration,unreasonable drug combination,etc.The hospital outpatient prescription writing and drug use are reasonable basically,but there are still some problems need to be further improved and enhanced.It is suggested to improve hospital regulations and systems,play the advantage of HIS and professional skill of pharmaceutical staff to improve the quality of outpatient prescription.
