Abstract
Arsenic, cadmium, chromium, mercury and lead in drinking water were determined directly by inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry. In order to decrease detection limit of spectral analysis, different volume of organic additives were added in drinking water sample to improve signal-to-background ratios of spectrum.Signal-to-background ratios of arsenic, cadmium, chromium, mercury and lead were increased 177.4%,45.2%,38.9%,354.7%,and 83.8% after adding 6% n-propanol,respectively.The quantitative analysis results showed that the relative standard deviations (RSD) are 4.5%—8.0%,and recovery rates are 96.7%—107.1%.
