Abstract
Objective To analyze the value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound and conventional ultrasound in differential diagnosis of focal liver lesions. Methods One hundred and thirty-five patients with focal liver lesions were examined by conventional ultrasound and contrast-enhanced ultrasound. Then their sensitivity, specificity and accuracy were compared. Results The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of conventional ultrasound and contrast-enhanced ultrasound were 69.9%,88.5%,77.0% and 89.2%,92.3%,90.4%,respectively. There was significantly difference between the two methods (P 0.01). Conclusion Conventional ultrasonography can detect focal liver lesions sensitively, while contrast-enhanced ultrasonography can provide more information of this diseases, and it can improve the accuracy in diagnosis of focal liver lesions.
