Clinical analysis on the cause of fiberbronchoscopy in 96 patients with atelectasis

Objective: To investigate the clinical application value of bronchoscopy in the diagnosis and treatment of the cause of atelectasis.Methods: 96 cases of atelectasis patients were diagnosed by the CT examination in our hospital from January 2008 to February 2010 who were given bronchoscopy inspection,endoscopic biopsy,brush biopsy and so on.Results: The cause of pulmonary atelectasis determined by bronchoscopy inspection in 96 patients were malignant tumors in 46 patients(47.92%),inflammation in 40 patients(41.67%),tuberculosis in 8 cases(8.33%),and others in 2 cases(2.08%).Conclusion: Lung cancer,inflammation,tuberculosis are three common causes of atelectasis;bronchoscopy is an important mean to clear causes of atelectasis,it plays an important role in clear causes,disease site,diagnosis and is worthy of application.
